A passenger shared a kind act by the pilot, who ordered 30 pizzas for all passengers onboard a United Airlines flight.
It was Friday the 13th, and as luck would have it, United Airlines flight 2480 from San Francisco to Houston, Texas, was unexpectedly delayed.
A passenger on the flight experienced a medical emergency, causing the plane to be diverted to Albuquerque International Sunport in New Mexico, where it landed at 4:15 pm.

A passenger, Tanya Stamos, shared a TikTok video the next day, detailing her heartwarming experience.
She captioned the video, “My flight from SF to Houston today definitely did not go as planned. We had an emergency landing in New Mexico at 4 pm due to a medical emergency with a passenger. Prayers to the passenger that was rushed off by the ambulance when we arrived. We then got deplaned and now finally leaving here at close to 11 pm.”
As the passengers waited for another flight to Houston, it took nearly seven hours to arrange.
During the seven-hour wait, passengers were frustrated by the unplanned delay, but an act of kindness by the pilot surprised them all.
The pilot, feeling upset for all the passengers on board flight 2480, decided to treat everyone to a wonderful pizza party.
He ordered 30 pizzas for all 150 passengers on board and generously distributed them based on seat numbers, serving himself only after everyone had received a plate.
Stamos further wrote, “Our pilot is absolutely amazing. He felt so bad for the situation that he ordered 30 pizzas from a local pizza shop and had it delivered right to our gate, then made sure all 150 passengers ate before he made himself a plate.”
According to TODAY.com, United Airlines officials emailed their official statement on the incident, “We love to see our pilots go above and beyond for our customers when the unexpected happens. The flight diverted due to a medical concern with a passenger, and we worked to get customers back on their way to Houston quickly.”
Despite the unplanned delay, the generous and heroic efforts of the kind-hearted pilot left passengers with a sweet feeling in the end.
