Carrick shares stunning transformations of barren land into full-fledged, self-sustaining ecosystems that attract local wildlife on his Instagram page.
He told Yahoo News that due to increased development, many native species are declining in numbers. He creates different types of natural habitats in backyards, which help various species thrive.
He recently completed a four-week project in Nuriootpa, a small town near Adelaide, where he was tasked with digging a large pond about 30 meters long in a backyard.
Soon after, the pond began swarming with dragonflies, various birds, native bees, damselflies, and three different varieties of frogs.
