SB Mowing’s GoFundMe Raises $700K to Help Woman with Disabilities and Make Home Accessible

Besides mowing lawns for free, Spencer from SB Mowing started a GoFundMe campaign for an elderly disabled woman.

Spencer is a highly popular social media influencer with a global following of over 40 million people. Based in Wichita, Kansas, Spencer, a lawn care professional turned influencer, is the founder of companies like SB Mowing and SB Pressure Washing.

As he entertains millions through his videos, his main mission is to help those in need who are unable to care for their lawns.

Spencer typically approaches disabled or elderly individuals who struggle to care for their yards. He then trims their lawns and provides maintenance free of charge.

His videos, which garner millions of likes and shares, showcase him helping people who lack the energy or resources by mowing their lawns for free.

Recently, Spencer received a call from a friend about an elderly woman named Beth who was struggling with her yard, so he went to meet her.

On January 9, he posted a video of his interaction with Beth, showcasing the pitiful state of her overgrown yard.

He also mentioned that authorities would impose a $240 fine, which she could not afford if her lawn was not cleaned up.

Spencer completely transformed Beth’s lawn free of charge, leaving an overjoyed Beth in tears of joy.

This video has become the most-watched on his company’s TikTok page, garnering over 100 million views and 8 million likes within just two days of posting.

Users noticed accessibility issues with Beth’s home and wanted to go beyond just lawn care.

In response, Spencer decided to create a GoFundMe page, as he was also moved by her condition.

Starting with an initial goal of $100,000, the donations quickly surpassed this figure and have now reached a staggering $700,000.

He wrote on the GoFundMe page that he intends to use the money for Beth’s new driveway, a ramp to her door, a chairlift to help her reach the washer and dryer downstairs, replace broken windows, purchase a new bed, and even pay a company to maintain her yard for the next few years.

He further adds that he appreciates everyone who donates to help Beth and assures them that the money will be used to make her life easier and more comfortable.

Any leftover funds will be given to Beth and distributed to local nonprofits that assist people in similar situations.

In a follow-up video, Beth is seen crying tears of joy upon hearing about the donation and asks Spencer why he was doing this for her.

Spencer responds, “They kinda fell in love with you and your story. We just wanted to come together as a community to help you out and get you to a better spot.”

This shows the true potential and power of social media when a community comes together to help someone in need.

Spencer continues to spread kindness, having previously supported a struggling shelter, Edgar and Ivy’s Cat Sanctuary, with a fundraiser last year.
